The Islamic sciences include those sciences the branch off from the sources of Islam which embody Islamic law or Shariah. The undisputed sources of Islamic law include the following:
1. Al Quran
2. Al Sunnah
3. Ijmaa' (Scholarly Consensus)
4. Al Qiyas As Saheeh (Sound Analogy)
The primary sources include the Qur'an and the Sunnah. The Qur'an is the literal words of Allah, the Almighty. The Sunnah is the sayings, actions, and tacit approvals of Prophet Muhammed ibn Abdullah from the Tribe of Quraish who was born in Makkah, Saudi Arabia approximately 1400 years ago. All other sources of Islamic law (Shariah) in essence refer back to a text from the Qur'an or the Sunnah.
